When Jesus rose from the dead, the stone was rolled from the empty tomb. His resurrection fulfilled the Scriptures foretold in the Psalms (Psalm 118:22) that Jesus reminded his disciples of — “The stone the builders of the temple rejected, would become the chief cornerstone,” Mark 12:10.
