This 12 x 12 inch encaustic painting includes several themes that I have been exploring, which begin with the image of a rib cage taken from a thick textbook of x-ray images. I called the series “Temple Series/ Learning to Breathe.” Each piece is also named. This piece is about “Shelter,” and was also named, “The House of My Soul,” relating to another series of paintings.
