Under His Wings / Rescued – Nets of God Series

This painting began as an acrylic painting on paper that I had named, “He Has Taken Captive, His Captives.”
Recently, I added wings using oils and cold wax medium and applied a small amount of gold leaf to reference the nets and my Nets of God Series. (See BANDING poem at the bottom of the gallery page). It is mounted on a large wood panel.

“Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in you my soul takes refuge;
in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge. (Psalm 57: 1)
. . . hide me in the shadow of your wings. (Psalm 18:10)
