This watercolor genre scene is also from my Dreamland Series-Asheville’s Dreamland Theater Fleamarket. I found the Apollo 14 patch in a box of patches that were made locally. The Star Wars toys are discarded at the Flea Market as the real stars shine forever in the heavens! The Big Dipper is visible at night because the phosphorescent stars that form this constellation are “glow in the dark!” The toy R2 D2 has diamonds in his eyes.
Apollo 14 (January 31, 1971 – February 9, 1971) was the eighth crewed mission in the United States Apollo program, the third to land on the Moon, and the first to land in the lunar highlands. See detail of the patch below.
