One Who Flies II

One Who Flies II is one of the series of paintings inspired by the poem Banding by Suzanne Clark Rhodes. It is from the last line which reads: “known intimately in the mind of one who flies.”
The One who created gravity and all things earthy is not contained within this fallen world. He conquered death and He flies. There is ambiguity in this image because in the text under the right heel are words (reversed) that read, “evangelistic urges.” (see detail)
Is this a raptured mortal flying heavenward to escape the real world?
Whatever the interpretation, there is the hope that we too can fly because we know One who flies to worlds unseen by our huiman eyes.
