The grand narrative between good and evil is the subject of this painting in blues. It is inspired by stories such as Moby Dick and The Old Man and the Sea, both which end with the defeat of the protagonist. Here the battle will end well. The figure in the vessel will defeat the Leviathan.

The story about the God-Man is found in Scripture. “In that day the LORD with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea,” Isaiah 27:1
