This painting was done on my trip to the Ukraine. I worked for one week in my own studio there to produce work for a show at the Karas Contemporary Galley at the end of the week. Alla, my translator, showed me the Cyrillic word for DAWN, which are the letters you see in this painting. After the dark communist government the Ukranian people were awakening to new freedoms.
