Painted for the Invitational Exhibit Cherry Bounce: The American Elections in August 2016 at the William King Museum in Abingdon, VA. Forty-five artists were each given an American election. I got the Nixon – McGovern race and was to incorporate both election posters. McGovern, the anti-war president, wanted the troops to “Come HOME America.” I used his poster as the central focus and instead suggested Christ’s summons to Come To ME America. The antithetical battle rages in the sky above the splitting tower of Babel.
