This painting is part of my Incarnation Series. It tells of the God who became flesh and lived among us, Jesus, The Shepherd of his sheep. The sheep are visible across the center of the painting and a penciled hand is visible below them.

“For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand,” Psalm 95:7.

The Lamb of God / “Agnus Dei” was sacrificed for us.

“He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms,” Isaiah 40:11.
