The Lame Will Walk

12 x 12
inches encaustic on panel

This piece is about our earthly frailty. In the lower part of the painting is a crutch and spheres that look like blood cells. We long for a new resurrected bodies (above) where we see a covering that looks like skin. It will be a new creation, a new body that will not die. I Corinthians 15:42 tells of our resurrected bodies. “For what is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable. What is sown in weakness, is raised in power. This perishable body must put on the imperishable and this mortal body must put on immortality…Death is swallowed up in victory!”
