This painting is about redemption. Three figures, the eternal Trinity, stand atop a “vessel.” God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This eternal triune God spoke the world into existence out of water by the Word of his power.

“For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God…”
God created time and entered time and space at the Incarnation. He became man to redeem a people for himself.
Jesus, the Son of God, is the red central figure in this painting. He opened heavens door. You may also see a smaller red figure in the center of the square vessel-like shape pushing open the access to glory. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life!
