The “day of clouds” is from the Scripture Ezekiel 30:3. “For the Day of the Lord is near; it will be a day of clouds, a time of doom for the nations.”
The quote, “The Lie of the State” is from an article by Jag Suraiya called “After Derrida: The Republic and the Reconstructed Guru.” Derrida visited India on the eve of Republic Day and gave a talk in New Delhi on ‘The State of the Lie, and the Lie of the State’.
