The title for this encaustic painting was taken from a line in the Banding poem,
"the day he flew into the net and hung there thirsting."

"After this, Jesus knowing that all things had already been accomplished to fulfill the Scripture,(Psalm 69:21) said, 'I am thirsty.'

It also references the Spirit of God -- a flame/pillar of fire.
